Our LEAP Team STANDS OUT

Owners Kari & Eric Starkey are salt of the earth Okies. They love roasting organic, fair trade coffee for a living, but their passion is creating art in the world and supporting other local artists through their coffee business. Kari is a producer & director. Eric’s an actor & writer who recently had small parts in the movies Stillwater and Minari.

LEAP is a beautiful extension of Kari & Eric’s hearts & is home to their unique "Artist Series" collaborations with local artists.

Our warehouse & delivery SHINING STAR is something spectacular. Chelsea’s ridiculous humor brings us so much joy & an abundance of belly laughs.

In another life, she’s pretty sure she was a spy. “Someone who could keep secrets and take them to the grave, because that is not me today. I can’t tell you how many times I have ruined surprises just from having a conversation with the person I was supposed to be keeping the surprise from.”

She says art has pulled her out of her darkest times and helped give meaning to her life. Music, the written word, & painting all serve as medicine for her soul.

Chelsea is sweet on LEAP’s Brazilian Coffee from the Bertagna Coffee Company. This sweet bean brew is also woman owned by our friend Mirani.

This guy is in our corner! In his former life, he was the long-time consumer advocate on KFOR-TV’s In Your Corner series. Scottie helps us beam out our name, coffee and creative initiatives. He's a whiz at conscious storytelling and sharing to help grow community, while positively impacting the world.

Meet our administrative star player! Hannah is so kind and caring, and she feels deeply. She comes from a musically gifted family and expresses herself through crafts & singing.

Nature is a respite that fills her soul. She particularly loves the soothing sound of moving water.

The favorite country she’s visited so far … “Easily Morocco. It is where my love was raised, where his loving and beautiful family reside and where my children will receive a large part of their heritage.”

Hannah’s got a big project planned for 2022, becoming a MOM for the first time.

We love Mike’s positive energy. This genuinely happy guy has much more than a knack for spreading joy and making people laugh!

Theatre and Improv artists and audiences know Mike's unfathomable talent. We are thrilled to have him on the LEAP Roaster Team every morning. Mike says “there is a kindness and love that permeates this place. It is very addictive.”

Forage is his fav coffee blend & in another life, he’s pretty sure he was a Hippy Trippy Tree Hugger.

Jasmine is our super gifted Fulfillment Fairy. She’s the fastest we’ve ever seen & moves with such beauty & grace, pouring her love & care into fulfilling every order.

Jasmine is a highly sensitive soul, healer, & multidisciplinary artist, who expresses her emotions through her art, working with concepts of spirituality, chains of memory, & interaction.

Kiona is like springtime, a delicious breath of fresh air. You might know her as the founder of OKC Girls Art School.

She’s also one of our super talented coffee roasters and our tea maven. Kiona is a lover of meditation, hiking, the natural world & creative expression.

When Kiona’s not making roasting magic, she’s showing up in the world as a fiercely loving mother, daughter & mixed media artist, sharing her vulnerability through her heart in hopes of making human connection.
